1.B. Collection and storage of personal data when visiting our website

Below we inform you about the processes relevant to data protection law that take place when you visit our website.

1. log files

Each time you visit our website, we automatically collect data and information from the computer system you use to access the website.

The following data is collected:

We use the "Matomo" service (formerly "Piwik") on this website. This is a web analysis service that is used on the servers operated by us.

Matomo enables us to create pseudonymised user profiles and to use cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer system and do not contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware.

1.C.      Making contact

You can contact us electronically by email. In this case, the data you send us by email will be transmitted to us and stored by us.

This involves:

(3) Your e-mail address

(4) If applicable, further data if you provide it

If you send us an e-mail and are interested in our offers, the legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, otherwise Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

This data transmitted to us will only be used to conduct the conversation and will not be passed on to third parties.

We will delete this data when it is no longer required for the respective purpose. I.e. when the email exchange with you has ended and we have fully processed your request.

1.D.      Registration for the virtual advice centre and social network

You can create a user account with us by registering so that we can send you e-mail notifications of status changes to enquiries or appointments or so that you can publish posts on the social network. The data you provide will only be used for the purposes of using the service. The data stored during registration will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose of the contract.

The following data is stored during registration:

(1) The user name you have chosen

(2) Your e-mail address

(3) Time of your registration

(4) IP address

and additionally at the advice centre:

(6) Marital status

(7) Nationality

(8) Residence status in Switzerland

as well as other personal details if you provide them during the counselling session or in the forum. In addition, we may collect further data for statistical analysis during the counselling process.

Before submitting the registration, your consent will be obtained and reference will be made to this privacy policy (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

It is possible to delete your user account at any time and thus object to and remove the data processing.

1.E.       Rights of data subjects

If we have processed your personal data, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you have the following rights vis-à-vis us:

(1) Art. 15 GDPR - You can request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of appeal, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information on its details.

(2) Art. 16 GDPR - You can demand the immediate correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us.

(3) Art. 17 GDPR - You may request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

(4) Art. 18 GDPR - You can request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to delete it and we no longer need the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR.

(5) Art. 20 GDPR - You may receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or request that it be transmitted to another controller.

(6) Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR - You can revoke your consent to us at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing that was based on this consent in the future.

(7) Art. 77 GDPR - You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our registered office.

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.
